Position: Sr. IT Manager

Location: Little Elm, TX

Duties:

  • Develop implementation plans that include analysis such as cost-benefit or return on investment (ROI) to the company.
  • Participate in the development of IT strategy and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure.
  • Create and implement the organization’s IT policy and best practice manuals.
  • Organize and establish deadlines for major IT projects such as system updates, migrations, upgrades, and outages.
  • Recruit IT staff and provide training to ensure they are up to date with the latest technologies and practices.
  • Manage and mentor IT professionals, set goals, and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set development goals for team members.
  • Develop long-term IT strategies aligned with business objectives, including planning for system upgrades, cybersecurity measures, and new technology adoption.
  • Allocate resources (human, hardware, and software) for various IT initiatives and projects.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Negotiate with and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Establish and enforce IT security policies to protect data and systems from breaches or cyberattacks.
  • Ensure that the IT team meets predefined service levels for system performance, uptime, and support response times.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units to ensure alignment between IT services and business goals.
  • Assess current or future customer needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers, conducting surveys, and seminars, and attending in-person meetings or other methods.
  • Develop or update project plans for IT projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Maintain KPIs according to company’s policies as well as client’s requirements.
  • Develop and manage annual IT Operations budget and create RFIs/RFPs for selection and acquisition of new clients/vendors.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure IT operations comply with relevant industry regulations such as HIPAA and company policies.
  • Travel/relocation to various unanticipated location(s) within the United States only is required. Exact location(s) and frequency of travel cannot be predicted as it may vary/change depending on project availability.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related required. 2 year’s experience as Sr. Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Sr. DevOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related required. 2 years required experience in: AWS, Python, Oracle, SQL, Shell Scripting, Jira, Datacenter Management.
